Deadline to Sign-up for the 2020 National Survey on the Cooperative Difference is Fast Approaching

Electric cooperative members represent a diverse cross-section of Americans.  Each cooperative is unique and understanding the complexities of a diverse membership presents significant challenges for cooperative leaders.  Raise your Member IQ by participating in the 2020 National Survey on the Cooperative Difference!  Act now, the deadline for sign-ups is Friday, April 17.

The Study

The National Survey on the Cooperative Difference is an annual assessment of member opinion conducted by TSE Services in collaboration with Touchstone Energy Cooperatives.  Member feedback identifies areas of strength, weakness, opportunity and potential threats to your cooperative.

• Reliability and Outage Response
• Community Enrichment
• Perception of Value and Trust
• Member Identity
• Communications Awareness and Preferences
• Member Reaction to Important Touchpoint Experiences
   

In addition, the study tackles several “critical issues” impacting future cooperative business strategy.  ‘Critical issues’ examined in past studies include EVs, demand response initiatives, digital communications, outage restoration and value-added programs and services. 

Methodology and Schedule

Member interviews are scheduled to begin in April 2020 with data collection lasting through Q2 2020.  Preliminary results arrive shortly after data collection is complete with final reports distributed in Q3 2020.  The study utilizes a mix of telephone and online interviews to collect member feedback.  Cooperatives can select participation at either 250 or 400 completed interviews. 

Deliverables

All participants receive a report containing cooperative specific results and comparisons to the national benchmark scores.  National benchmarks provide important best-in-class performance metrics from cooperatives nationwide.  Participants also receive a complimentary PowerPoint slide deck containing tables and graphics from the report and an Excel spreadsheet containing all member comments from the qualitative survey questions.
